Role Overview: As a Senior Scheduler II within Mortenson’s Data Center Structured Cabling Team, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing project schedules. Your expertise will ensure timely delivery of complex cabling projects by coordinating with diverse teams and adapting to dynamic project demands. What You'll Do: - You will develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for structured cabling initiatives. - You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to gather scheduling inputs and resolve conflicts. - You will monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks, proposing mitigation strategies. - You will prepare and present schedule reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. - You will utilize scheduling software tools to analyze project timelines and resource allocation. - You will support continuous improvement efforts by recommending process enhancements. - You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively. - You will ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in scheduling practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in structured cabling or data center construction. - Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent. - Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology related to structured cabling. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams. - Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions under pressure. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities. - Knowledge of data center infrastructure and cabling standards. - Certification in project scheduling or project management (e.g., PMI-SP, PMP). - Familiarity with Lean construction principles or Agile methodologies.
