Role Overview: As a Senior Scheduler II within Mortenson’s Data Center Structured Cabling Team, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing project schedules. Your expertise will ensure timely delivery of complex data center cabling projects by coordinating with multiple teams and adapting to dynamic project requirements. What You'll Do: - You will develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for data center structured cabling initiatives. - You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to gather scheduling inputs and resolve conflicts. - You will monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks, proposing mitigation strategies. - You will prepare and present schedule reports and forecasts to stakeholders at various levels. - You will ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements in all scheduling activities. - You will support resource allocation and workflow optimization to enhance project efficiency. - You will adapt schedules dynamically in response to changing project conditions and priorities. - You will mentor junior schedulers and contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling processes. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in construction or data center environments. - Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools. - Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and data center construction processes. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse teams. - Ability to analyze complex project data and make informed scheduling decisions. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in fast-paced, high-tech construction environments. - Knowledge of Lean construction principles and practices. - Certification in project scheduling or project management (e.g., PMI-SP, PMP). - Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and integrated project delivery methods.
