Role Overview: As a Senior Estimator on the Data Center Structured Cabling Team, you will play a critical role in leading the estimation process for large and complex data center projects. Your expertise will ensure accurate, competitive bids while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to drive project success. What You'll Do: - You will lead the preparation and finalization of detailed estimates for structured cabling projects within data centers. - You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure estimate accuracy. - You will analyze project plans, specifications, and scope to identify cost drivers and potential risks. - You will develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. - You will review and validate takeoffs and quantity surveys to ensure completeness. - You will communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to clarify project requirements and resolve issues. - You will contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools. - You will mentor junior estimators and support their professional development. What You Bring: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating structured cabling or related electrical construction projects. - Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure and cabling standards. - Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with BIM or other digital modeling tools. - Familiarity with LEED certification and sustainable building practices. - Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a construction or estimating role. - Certification in Construction Estimating or Project Management.
