Role Overview: As a Project Engineer II on the Data Center Structured Cabling Team, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving field coordination issues to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise will support the team in delivering high-quality structured cabling solutions for data center projects. What You'll Do: - You will review and analyze project plans and field conditions to identify and resolve coordination issues. - You will collaborate closely with project team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely communication. - You will manage documentation and track project progress related to structured cabling installations. - You will provide technical support and guidance to field teams to maintain quality standards. - You will assist in scheduling and coordinating project activities to meet deadlines. - You will participate in site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design specifications. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in data center structured cabling or related fields. - Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, standards, and best practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams. - Proficiency in project management software and documentation tools. - Ability to analyze technical drawings and resolve field issues efficiently. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in large-scale data center construction projects. - Familiarity with industry standards such as ANSI/TIA-568 and BICSI guidelines. - Certification in project management or structured cabling (e.g., PMP, RCDD). - Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems integration.
