Role Overview: As a Project Engineer I on the Data Center Structured Cabling Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of structured cabling projects. You will be responsible for reviewing designs, managing field coordination issues, and collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget. What You'll Do: - You will review and analyze structured cabling designs and project documentation for accuracy and compliance. - You will manage and resolve field coordination issues by working closely with project team members and stakeholders. - You will assist in the development and implementation of project schedules and ensure milestones are met. - You will communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution. - You will support quality control processes to ensure all work meets company and industry standards. - You will document project progress and prepare reports for management and clients. - You will participate in site visits and inspections to verify installation compliance. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the structured cabling team. What You Bring: - A minimum of 2 years of experience in project engineering or a related role within structured cabling or data center environments. - Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, standards, and best practices. - Proficiency with project management software and tools. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. - Ability to analyze technical drawings and resolve field issues efficiently. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working on large-scale data center projects. - Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA/EIA and BICSI certifications. - Knowledge of construction safety protocols and compliance. - Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
