Produce diverse communications materials, manage projects and stakeholder coordination, develop strategic messaging, and support digital media efforts.
3-5 years experience, strong writing and organizational skills, bachelor’s degree in related field, familiarity with communications tools and energy or financial sectors preferred.
Experience required: 3-5 years Technical & Professional Skills & Knowledge: • Has demonstrated a basic understanding of fundamental analytical principles. • Knowledgeable in at least one technical or programmatic area in which the Authority is currently involved. • Has awareness of relevant energy related aspects of research, environmental science and economics. • Basic skills include an ability to interpret and analyze. • Ability to produce quality communications, and demonstrate an aptitude to learn. Creativity in Project & Program Development: • Implements task and project ideas suggested by others. • Assists other project managers to develop and manage projects, or manages own projects under close supervision. Organization Skills & Productivity: • Is productive on assignments but dependent on others for direction. • Has capability to manage technical and cost control aspects of multiple on-going projects with close supervision. • Approaches tasks logically and makes effective use of time and resources in performing work. • Ability to assist in project’s inception and through to completion, showing an ability to figure out next steps. Leadership / Interpersonal Relations / Judgement: • Has good interpersonal relations with staff. • Has friendly, helpful and positive attitude. • Able to take direction criticism from superior and other senior staff. Communication Skills & External Relations: • Has demonstrated ability to produce written products which are logical, technically and grammatically correct, but may require editing due to lack of familiarity with energy Deployment issues/needs/problems and Authority programmatic needs. • Verbal skills show organization, good use of English and technical competence, but may reflect lack of experience or confidence. • Demonstrates ability to establish contacts outside the Authority with suggestions from other staff. What skills are needed to be successful in this role? • Exceptional writing and content development: Ability to craft a variety of written materials, including releases and social media posts to executive remarks and technical summaries that can be tailored to different audiences, such as general public, media, and industry professionals. • Project and Stakeholder Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines, coordinate with internal teams and counterparts, and oversee the internal approval process for communications and events. • Strategic Messaging and Storytelling: Skilled in translating complex financial or technical data into compelling narratives that highlight impact and drive engagement among stakeholders like clean energy developers and financiers. • Digital and Media Coordination: Experience managing digital communications, including social media strategy and email marketing, in collaboration with larger corporate marketing teams or CRM systems. Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful?: • Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design platforms Preferred but not required: • About three years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or public relations, or a comparable combination of education and experience. • Familiarity with clean energy infrastructure development and/or financial markets is a strong plus.
