About The Role: Morning Consult is looking to hire an entrepreneurial strategic communications and market research professional to join our Research Solutions team. Those in this role require a keen understanding of custom quantitative survey research, and experience bringing people together internally to make projects come to life. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing creative and impactful projects tailored to address our clients' distinct business needs. Collaborating closely with our internal researchers and leadership, you will ensure that client expectations are not only met but exceeded. This role demands confident project leadership, effective team management and seamless collaboration with senior stakeholders, all while delivering compelling quantitative insights. The Research Solutions Team at Morning Consult: The Research Solutions Team at Morning Consult is focused on custom-designed research and is crucial to Morning Consult’s industry-leading, customer-obsessed Commercial Organization and its ability to drive sustainable growth across our entire portfolio of business. Morning Consult’s mission is to deliver high-impact, quality intelligence at scale to decision-makers anytime, anywhere. Our team consists of business leaders and researchers with experience in market research, insights, political polling, strategic consulting and more. What You'll Be Working On: • Owning client relationships for small accounts (≤$500K), operating largely independently, and building relationships with clients to secure renewals and upsell opportunities • Oversee a larger breadth of research and prioritize based on business-critical priorities • Work on diverse research projects and select the best research approach to meaningfully answer clients’ research questions, demonstrating good judgment in consulting Analytics & Data Operations (ADO) and SMEs • Navigate Morning Consult’s data ecosystem and independently deliver consultative value to clients, deepening trust and reliance • Generate impactful deliverables, ensure client questions are answered with meaningful insights for their businesses and find opportunities to spur additional research • Manage revenue against client contracts through Salesforce and other project management systems • Play a role in the sales process by joining prospect calls to provide the research expertise and leading small proposals and pitches alongside AEs • Adopt and share best practices for research execution across teams to increase knowledge and skill, and identify opportunities to include junior members to increase their knowledge and skills • Delegate effectively to complete complex research tasks with teammates, as needed • Perform such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion • Ability to travel up to 5-10% of the time About You and What You've Done: • 5+ years of experience designing and analyzing custom quantitative survey methodologies • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Proven track record of success in leading complex survey methodology and analysis • Experience managing clients, eager to exceed client expectations to deepen trust and secure future opportunities • Strong prioritization skills, translating strategic business priorities into daily work and impact • Organized planner who clarifies priorities and progress with collaborators to maintain visibility • Anticipator and strategic thinker who challenges assumptions and can recognize research project/program risks and proposes alternatives with higher impact • Strong communication skills, with the ability to capture stakeholder attention, clarify critical needs and facilitate progress and next steps • Uncompromising attention to detail with high technical standards and demonstrated understanding of best practices • Recognizes and proactively raises barriers to success, contributes creative ideas to increase impact and proposes changes to processes that improve team output • Constantly curious individual who seeks stretch assignments, takes advantage of on-the-job experiential training and solicits feedback for growth • Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement Note: We view the above section as a guide, not a checklist. The expected salary range for this position is $72,100 - $113,400, with a midpoint of $92,800. In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation and an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation.
