We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape the future of these platforms. The Role As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery for a portfolio of environmental SaaS and telemetry platforms. You will operate at the intersection of technology, customer needs, and business growth; driving products that help industrial clients monitor emissions, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize environmental performance. This is a cross-functional leadership-facing role where you’ll partner with engineering, data science, operations, and business development to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes. You will own product direction from discovery through launch and scaling, while helping establish best-in-class product practices across the organization. What We Can Offer You As a key member of our Montrose team, you can expect: Mentorship and professional development resources to advance your career Direct exposure to our industry’s leading experts who are solving the world’s toughest environmental challenges An entrepreneurial environment where you can learn, thrive and collaborate with talented colleagues Opportunities to engage and contribute in our Diversity, Fairness and Inclusion and Women Empowering Leadership employee resource groups Competitive compensation package: annual salary ranging from $160,000 - $185,000, commensurate with accomplishments, performance, credentials and geography Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage 401k with a competitive 4% employer match Progressive vacation policies, company holidays and paid parental leave benefits to ensure work/life balance A financial assistance program that supports peers in need, known as the Montrose Foundation Access to a student loan planning tool to optimize your student loan payoff plans and compare student loan rates with lenders What You’ll Do Product Strategy & Vision Define and drive multi-year product strategy and roadmap across telemetry software platforms Identify market opportunities through customer research, competitive analysis, and regulatory trends Conduct primary and secondary research including customer interviews, advisory boards, industry conferences, and partner collaboration Develop granular understanding of customer workflows, regulatory drivers, and operational challenges Establish clear product positioning, differentiation, and value propositions Contribute to industry thought leadership and represent Montrose in customer and industry forums Product Delivery & Execution Prioritize product investments using customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility Serve as the voice of the customer across discovery, design, development, and release cycles Lead full product lifecycle from ideation through launch, adoption, and continuous optimization Define and track product success metrics including usage, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction Drive agile practices by partnering with engineering teams to translate product strategy into actionable backlogs and release plans Use data and analytics to inform product decisions and optimize platform performance Align senior stakeholders across technical, operational, and commercial functions Champion product thinking, discovery practices, and outcome-driven delivery across teams What Success Looks Like (6-9 months) Delivery of market-leading software that drives measurable customer and business outcomes A clear, trusted product roadmap aligned across engineering, commercial, and operational teams Strong adoption, retention, and revenue growth across the software portfolio Faster time-to-value through effective discovery, prioritization, and delivery Improved cross-functional execution and reduced friction in product decision-making Recognition of the product organization as a strategic driver of Montrose’s growth Force multiplication of the team and product management at large Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in Product Management, with ownership of platform-based products Strong product instincts, with the ability to quickly identify the “right” problems to solve Ability to coalesce qualitative and quantitative inputs into clear, actionable product direction Proven track record leading products from concept through launch and scale, including making high-quality product decisions and ruthlessly prioritizing in ambiguous, evolving problem spaces Success working cross-functionally with engineering, data, and business stakeholders Strong customer empathy, with the ability to anticipate user needs before they are explicitly articulated High learning velocity, with the capacity to rapidly develop domain expertise in complex industries Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives while maintaining clarity on priorities and sequencing Demonstrated aptitude in operating as an autonomous individual contributor, setting direction, and driving outcomes with minimal oversight Comfort challenging assumptions and pushing back constructively when proposals do not align with customer value or strategy Excellent written and verbal communication and executive storytelling skills The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
