Full Description

A high-performing hedge fund, with a rapidly increasing AUM, is seeking a VP to join its Trading Operations team in New York, as part of a strategic expansion of its U.S. platform. This is a senior, highly front-office–facing role that functions as a key operational partner to Portfolio Managers and traders across multiple investment strategies. The remit includes leadership of a small team, oversight of the full trade lifecycle and close collaboration with the Director of Operations on process improvement, scalability initiatives, controls, and cross-functional projects. The VP will manage real-time interaction with PMs, oversee critical daily workflows (trade capture, validations, reconciliations, lifecycle events, P&L support), and play a central role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient trading activity. The firm is scaling rapidly, continuing to onboard Portfolio Managers from leading global hedge funds, and investing heavily in its front-to-back infrastructure. Known for its collaborative culture, strong leadership, and entrepreneurial mindset, it offers the opportunity to take on broad responsibility within a lean, high-impact operations group. This is a newly expanded mandate with significant visibility and long-term growth potential. The VP will help shape the next generation of the firm’s operational framework while working directly with senior investment professionals on a daily basis. Compensation is highly competitive and structured to attract top-tier talent, comfortably in the $350-400k TC bracket year one with upside, and strong benefits.
