An independent communications and policy advisory firm is looking to add a Consultant to its growing team, supporting clients operating at the cutting edge of innovation across AI, frontier science, quantum computing, autonomous systems, and other transformative technologies. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex subject matter and translating it into narratives that resonate with a range of audiences. You are naturally curious about how emerging technologies are shaping industries, public perception, and regulation, and you’re energized by helping organizations navigate fast-moving, high-stakes conversations with clarity and credibility. Responsibilities: • Partner with clients to craft strategic communications programs around highly technical, scientific, and policy-driven topics. • Help shape messaging, thought leadership, media strategy, executive visibility, and key announcements across a variety of channels. • Turn complex information into accessible, engaging storytelling tailored to both expert and mainstream audiences. • Lead day-to-day account activity, manage timelines and deliverables, and collaborate with junior team members to ensure seamless execution. • Monitor developments across AI, emerging technologies, policy, regulation, and the media landscape to inform client counsel and proactive opportunities. • Leverage tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Factiva, and Meltwater to support research, insights, and communications planning. • Support broader business initiatives by contributing ideas around workflow innovation, new market opportunities, and evolving technology trends. • Foster a collaborative team culture built on feedback, curiosity, and knowledge sharing. Qualifications: • 3–6 years of experience in communications, ideally within an agency or consultancy environment working with technology-focused clients. • Excellent writing and editorial instincts, with the ability to simplify nuanced or technical information without losing depth or accuracy. • Comfortable diving into unfamiliar or highly specialized subject matter and quickly building fluency. • Experience advising founders, executives, or senior stakeholders on communications strategy and reputation management. • Strong media relations background spanning technology, business, and trade publications. • Familiarity using AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini within a professional setting. • A genuine interest in emerging technologies, AI, science, policy, or innovation-driven industries. • Collaborative, proactive, and excited to contribute to a thoughtful, high-performing team culture.
