Technical Sales Representative – Power Systems Houston, TX | $65,000 Base + Commission Full-Time | Travel ~40% | Field + Office Based About the Opportunity A fast-growing power solutions provider is seeking a motivated technical sales professional to grow business for engineered power systems including switchgear and controls. You’ll lead sales efforts with industrial, oil & gas, and energy customers in the Houston market. What You’ll Be Doing • Generate and close new business for power systems solutions • Manage and grow relationships with EPCs, end users, and channel partners • Prospect through site visits, networking, and trade shows • Review specifications and support proposal development with engineering teams • Deliver solution presentations aligned to customer needs • Support demos, FAT activities, and occasional commissioning • Maintain CRM activity, pipeline accuracy, and forecasting • Monitor competitors, pricing, and technology trends What They’re Looking For • 5+ years in technical sales for power systems, switchgear, or controls • Knowledge of LV/MV electrical equipment and control integration • Ability to read electrical drawings and SLDs • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related preferred • Proven success hitting revenue and margin targets • Willingness to travel up to 40% Why You’ll Love It There • High-growth energy and microgrid technology environment • Vendor-neutral, cross-platform engineering advantage • Chance to build and own territory strategy • Direct exposure to senior leadership and business outcomes MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
