We are actively looking for a Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Associate to join our Costa Mesa office. As part of the Flexterm Group, the Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Associate will help build robust pipelines that power simulation workflows, Kafka-driven data ingestion, Databricks-based data transformation, and cloud-based delivery of inspection and 3D data to client platforms. This is a hybrid position and will require some in-office presence in our office in Costa Mesa, CA. Azure Cloud Infrastructure • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable environments using Azure (AKS, VMs, Functions, Blob Storage, App Services, etc.) • Manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Bicep to deploy and maintain consistent cloud environments CI/CD and Automation • Create automated CI/CD pipelines for data processing, simulation, and 3D asset workflows • Enable cross-team automation for simulation engineers, inspection groups, and digital twin platform developers Kafka & Databricks Pipelines • Set up and manage Kafka-based data ingestion from external platforms. • Integrate with Databricks for real-time and batch processing of simulation data, crack detection outputs, and inspection datasets Simulation & Twin Integration • Deploy and orchestrate compute-heavy simulation jobs in the cloud • Integrate simulation results into real-time digital twin systems, enabling actionable insights on equipment performance and operational planning 3D Reconstruction & Inspection Workflows • Automate cloud-based 3D model reconstruction from inspection datasets (e.g., point clouds, drone imagery, crack detection outputs) • Package and deliver reconstructed 3D models and annotated inspection results via secure client portals or custom viewers Client-Facing Delivery & Collaboration • Build secure sharing mechanisms for inspection reports, simulation results, and 3D models • Ensure reliable, auditable delivery pipelines that meet client compliance and usability needs Security, Monitoring, and Resilience • Implement best practices in cloud security, encryption, and access control • Monitor systems using Azure Monitor, ELK, or Prometheus/Grafana to ensure availability, scalability, and performance Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Required qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering degree (Software or Computer Engineering) • 4-8 years of experience • Strong experience with Azure services: AKS, Blob, Functions, App Gateway, and Networking • Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration at scale • Proficient with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins • Hands-on with Kafka, including configuration, message flows, and monitoring • Experienced in Databricks: notebooks, pipelines, Delta Lake, and cluster management • Proficient in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation • Skilled in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Bicep Preferred qualifications: • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering degree • Familiarity with computer vision pipelines, crack detection, or point cloud processing • Familiarity with Microsoft Installers (MSI) • Experience creating digitally signed application installers and collaborating with QA for deployment testing • Understanding REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and real-time data delivery • Prior experience supporting engineering or infrastructure-focused teams • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 • Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire
