JOB DETAILS Warehouse Associate Food Distribution Chicago, IL Description: Position description We are looking for an ambitious and hardworking professional to join our team at the meat distribution center, who does not mind working in cold conditions and can work an entire shift on his or her feet. We require a Warehouse Associate who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check his or her work before completing a task. Use your expertise and interpersonal skills to inspire exceptional performance. As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for the following: · Receive and appropriately sort and store incoming products. · Operate adequate warehouse machinery, hand tools, and equipment. · Label and stockpile merchandise according to quantity, weight, and type. · Tag and label shipment orders. · Scanning labels to ensure shipment orders are picked correctly. · Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed, wrapped, and labeled for delivery. · Load and unload merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools/equipment. · Assisting with training of newly employed workers. · Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment. · Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures. Position Requirements · 1+ years of warehouse experience. · Required to work in refrigerated environment. · Able to stand on feet for long periods of time. · Prior pallet jack experience required. · Pays close attention to detail. · Forklift operation certification is a plus. · Ability to use handheld devices. · Ability to lift 75 pounds as needed.
