Assist in data gathering, analysis, visualization, and documentation to support organizational processes.
Currently pursuing a relevant degree, proficiency in visualization tools and programming languages, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
We are currently looking for a Data Visualization Intern to join our team in Huntsville, AL (Remote Possible) Responsibilities: · Assist the DDS team to gather and analyze data related to their processes, identifying key metrics and trends that can be visualized. · Create compelling data visualizations using Power BI to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and engaging manner. · Work alongside the Digital Data Services Team to develop visual components for the playbook that will guide the organization in inventorying and documenting their processes. · Assist in the creation of training materials or workshops to help departments utilize data visualization tools and interpret the visualizations accurately. · Assist with creating comprehensive documentation of data sources, visualization methodologies, and best practices to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python for data manipulation. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent communication skills, with a focus on conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Creative mindset with an eye for design and aesthetics in data presentation. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and independently. Ability to work multiple projects in parallel. Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance. Please note: US Citizenship is needed for most positions.
