MCPR, an award-winning, boutique, luxury hospitality & marketing public relations agency based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly skilled, strategic, and resourceful entry/mid-level PR Account Coordinator with 1–3 years of direct agency experience in hospitality, culinary, travel, tourism, restaurant, or consumer lifestyle sectors. Ideal candidates are energized by a collaborative, hospitality-driven culture and thrive in a boutique agency environment. While the position is remote, applicants must reside in Los Angeles to accommodate periodic in-person meetings, client site visits, and event support as needed. The PR Account Coordinator should be a creative and strategic thinker who can bring fresh ideas with a strong sense of work ethic to execute on a daily basis. They must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills must be able to wear multiple hats while immersing themselves in the agency's clients on day 1; therefore, a detail-oriented self-starter with innovative ideas, who is ready to hit the ground running! This position will support the agency’s junior/senior-level teams, providing integral account support through pitch/press release development, active pitching, daily/monthly reporting, media list building, client agendas/recap creation, alongside a team of seasoned team of media industry professionals within an engaging boutique agency environment. Skill Set & Client Service Responsibilities • Offer support to supervisors as day-to-day support on at least 6 – 8 agency clients; will report to President & Vice President of agency, alongside senior team members • Curate targeted media distribution lists and actively pitch, liaise and engage with national, regional, and local media to secure meaningful, consistent, and goal-oriented results for clients • Draft press releases, pitches, case studies, and other required PR materials (e.g. fact sheets, bios, media alerts, talking points, etc.) in a creative, on-trend, and thoughtful manner • Contribute to developing and ideating creative ideas for client PR plans & agendas • Media monitor for client-related press coverage; draft merchandising emails • Develop administrative PR documents, including bi-weekly and monthly meeting/call agendas, weekly and monthly client press reports, on behalf of clients • Participate in bi-weekly and monthly agenda meetings/calls with clients, pending clients’ needs • Assist in staffing on-property and in-studio shoots with clients • Accompany senior agency members on media breakfast/lunches/dinners, as needed • Proactive, hard-working, and positive attitude with a solution-oriented mindset – always bringing fresh ideas to the table! • Possess superior writing and editing skills with attention to detail and a sharp eye for internal proof-reading of all materials • Support supervisor and assist in crafting strategic plans, bi-annual PR agendas, new business proposals and timelines for clients • Creative with the ability to pitch trends as well as think outside the box to create non-traditional press pitches and activations • Be organized with an excellent attitude and ability to work remotely during Covid-era with accountability, open communication, speed, and efficiency • Collaborate with senior agency members to contribute to the proposal development process in a smart, efficient, and creative way We offer a robust suite of benefits, including: • Flexible work remote schedule and policy: Enjoy flexibility with a work schedule that prioritizes your ability to work remotely in Los Angeles and gather often with your colleagues and teammates for in-person bonding • ‘Work From Anywhere’ flex program eligibility (for up to 5 work days) • Health & Wellness Benefits: Options for comprehensive medical coverage including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance subject to plan terms and company-sponsored life insurance policy • Financial Security: Contribute to 401(k) plan for retirement with company matching • Vacation & Birthday Paid Time Off: Enjoy two weeks’ worth of vacation days (10 workdays), alongside Annual Paid Birthday Leave • Summer Flexibility: Summer Fridays offer shorter work hours from Memorial Day to Labor Day • Holiday Season Office Closure: Agency closed between Christmas and New Years for a well-deserved break, as well as several other holidays throughout the calendar year • Technology: Company provided MacBook laptop, along with IT support • Bonuses: Potential for discretionary spot and end-of-year bonuses
