Led by Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert, MML is known for its refined, character-driven approach to hospitality, rooted in creativity, quality, and a deep sense of place. As we continue to grow, we're entering an exciting new chapter. We've welcomed James Beard Award-winning chef April Bloomfield to our culinary leadership team and are bringing new energy to iconic and emerging destinations alike—with projects like the historic Driskill Hotel, Sixth & Blanco, Clark’s Malibu, and more on the horizon. At MML, we’re not just building restaurants or hotels—we’re crafting spaces that leave a lasting impression. What we're looking for: The Construction Project Manager will play a critical role in managing on-site execution of hospitality and mixed-use development projects. You will oversee daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, monitor quality, and ensure timelines and budgets are met. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who thrives in complex build environments and takes pride in high-end finishes and craftsmanship. What you'll be doing: • Manage daily on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence • Serve as the on-site representative of MML, coordinating with internal project managers, architects, designers, and subcontractors • Interpret plans and specifications and provide direction to field crews • Oversee scheduling and sequencing of trades and deliveries • Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements • Maintain site cleanliness, order, and security • Proactively identify and resolve issues in the field • Track progress, log site activity, and provide regular updates to the Director of Construction • Participate in punch walks and final inspections • Ensure high standards are met in all aspects of construction, from framing to finish carpentry and final turnover Requirements • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Field Supervisor, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, retail, or mixed-use development • Strong understanding of construction drawings, sequencing, codes, and trade scopes • Ability to work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and design teams to execute high-quality projects • Highly organized with strong communication and problem-solving skills • Experience managing timelines and holding trades accountable • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment • Proficiency in construction management tools and reporting (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) is a plus • Ability to travel locally between job sites as needed Physical Requirements: • Ability to work in a variety of outdoor environments and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods across uneven terrain or construction sites • Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly • Visual and auditory ability to identify hazards, operate equipment safely, and communicate effectively • Comfortable working around heavy machinery, tools, and construction noise • May require occasional use of ladders, scaffolding, or lifts • Ability to wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Background Check: If an offer is accepted for this position, you must undergo a comprehensive background check. This process may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal records, and other relevant information. By applying for this position, you acknowledge and agree to the background check process as a condition of employment. MML Hospitality is an equal-opportunity employer.
