Description – What You’ll Do • Conduct both routine and specialized laboratory tests—including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more—adhering to established protocols. • Evaluate results for precision, address discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration on lab equipment. • Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as required. • Document all procedures meticulously, mentor new team members or trainees, and help maintain laboratory quality standards. • Ensure cleanliness and safety in the workplace, while complying with regulatory and accrediting bodies' requirements. Education • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree with coursework preparing for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be acquired within one year of hire. • Continuously maintain certification throughout employment. Skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork with healthcare professionals. • Adept at exercising independent judgment and problem-solving even under demanding circumstances. • Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail, particularly in documentation and quality control.
