Unleash Your Curiosity in an Innovative Lab: Join a Passionate Diagnostic Team in a Flourishing Lakefront Community Overview We’re looking for a talented Clinical Laboratory Technician who merges curiosity with meticulousness—someone committed to enhancing patient outcomes one analysis at a time. In this full-time, first-shift position at a busy community hospital in the vibrant Irving area, you’ll contribute to crucial diagnostic findings that change lives. Collaborate with a workforce dedicated to excellence, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that nurtures your career as well as your personal well-being. Description – What You’ll Do • Conduct both routine and specialized laboratory tests—including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more—adhering to established protocols. • Evaluate results for precision, address discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration on lab equipment. • Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as required. • Document all procedures meticulously, mentor new team members or trainees, and help maintain laboratory quality standards. • Ensure cleanliness and safety in the workplace, while complying with regulatory and accrediting bodies' requirements. Education • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree with coursework preparing for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be acquired within one year of hire. • Continuously maintain certification throughout employment. Skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork with healthcare professionals. • Adept at exercising independent judgment and problem-solving even under demanding circumstances. • Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail, particularly in documentation and quality control. Benefits • Attractive compensation reflective of experience and qualifications. • Comprehensive, competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. • Generous paid time off starting from day one, alongside vacation and holiday accrual with experience credit. • Opportunities for continued education and professional development. • A robust total rewards package emphasizing your overall well-being. TRANSFORMING DATA INTO LIVES SAVED Here, your expertise with a microscope becomes the foundation of doctors' decisions—and influences the health of patients. Every slide may confirm an infection or lead the way to appropriate antibiotic treatment; another analysis may detect a metabolic issue before it manifests into serious symptoms. Your dedication ensures precise results that our medical teams and patients depend on daily. A CULTURE BUILT ON TEAMWORK This opportunity transcends mere job duties; it provides a sense of belonging within a cohesive unit. You will become part of a team that champions continuous improvement. Engage in seasonal in-lab gatherings, competency assessments, and process enhancement projects to nurture an environment where creative ideas thrive. You'll be encouraged to take part in committees, propose enhancements, and even offer mentorship to newer employees. EMBRACE A THRIVING COMMUNITY LIFE Imagine a scenic lakeside community—leafy avenues that fringe beautiful waters, thriving farmers markets overflowing with local produce, and a vibrant arts scene. Neighborhood coffee shops serve as community anchors, buzzing with conversations about everything from the news to sports. Your days off might invite paddleboarding at dawn or enjoying an outdoor music festival in a local park. This community is deeply connected, inviting friendly interactions and collaboration that characterize the healthcare landscape as well. With a plethora of boutique shops, serene nature trails, local theaters, and activities for all interests—from birdwatching to marathons—your lifestyle here flourishes. Worries about commuting fade as you enjoy shorter travel times than in larger cities, while housing remains affordable, allowing you to stretch your earnings towards life's adventures—whether rooftop gatherings, weekend getaways, picturesque wineries, or local sporting events. CULTIVATING IMPACT AND EXCELLENCE Within this vibrant setting, every lab professional is more than a technician—they are an essential component of the community's health. Your contributions resonate throughout, enhancing diagnosis speed, ensuring better patient care, and promoting operational sustainability. The heartfelt acknowledgments and grateful messages you receive underscore that your role is vital in delivering timely care and impactful health outcomes. TIME TO ELEVATE YOUR CAREER BEYOND THE MICROSCOPE If your search extends beyond just a salary—if you are motivated by purpose, professional enrichment, and making a difference within the community—then we invite you to explore this position. Whether you are fresh from completing your certification or bring years of honed experience, here lies a terrain of support, challenge, and opportunity. Are You Ready to Begin Your Next Adventure? Take your precision-driven abilities to a place where a supportive community embraces innovation and compassion—a setting where every lab result tells a true story of restoration and care. If you’re excited to engage in a role that celebrates meticulous work, teamwork, and heartfelt service, we are excited to welcome you. Apply today, and join us in building a brighter future where science accelerates healing, and where accuracy is inherently intertwined with our humanity.
