Location: New York City (Near Grand Central Station) Employment Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3-5 days per week in-person) About the Role Our client, a rapidly growing AI startup with a mission to reinvent the $80B+ market research industry, is looking for a Member of Technical Staff (ML/AI Focus). The client's platform acts as an AI qualitative researcher, transforming customer interviews into quantitative insights. You'll work closely with a founding team of former Lyft and Ro executives to pioneer the intersection of AI and user research. This is a foundational role where you will architect the core AI infrastructure and be critical to their mission of merging qualitative and quantitative research. What You'll Own In your first year, you will: Own the development of synthetic user capabilities. Design scalable AI pipelines to handle thousands of user interviews. Explore and execute model fine-tuning opportunities for interview analysis and insight generation. Be responsible for building cutting-edge AI systems that power the platform's core differentiator. 4+ years of professional ML/AI engineering experience, or a recent PhD with relevant research. Prior research experience is highly valued. Experience working at startups or fast-growing tech companies is ideal. Salary: $120K - $250K Equity: 0.3% - 2% Work Policy: Hybrid setup (3 to 5 times per week in-person in NYC).
