Lead Frontend Engineer - Decentralized Trading Platform (New York / Full-Time) Location: New York City (Hybrid) Compensation: $180K - $300K We are a well-funded, ambitious technology company on a mission to completely transform how financial markets operate. Our goal is simple: to enable anyone with a digital wallet to trade stocks, commodities, currencies, and crypto with complete transparency. We are replacing the opaque, offshore brokerage model with a transparent, permissionless trading stack built entirely on-chain. Every trade, deposit, and withdrawal is verifiable through open, auditable code. We've secured significant backing from top-tier venture capital and crypto-native investors. We are seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to take complete ownership of the client-side architecture for our core trading interface. You will be the technical leader for the frontend team, driving technical decision-making and ensuring a high-performance, resilient user experience for real-time trading. This role requires deep expertise in modern React/Next.js and mastery of complex Web3 integrations. Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Leadership: Drive the strategic evolution of our client-side architecture and mentor the engineering team to enforce high standards of code quality and modular design. Web3 Integration: Architect robust, secure wallet connectivity and authentication systems to ensure seamless and secure interaction with on-chain protocols. Performance: Optimize rendering pipelines and state management to reliably handle massive real-time market data streams with sub-second latency. UI/UX Implementation: Lead the implementation of a scalable, responsive component library designed to deliver a complex, data-rich trading experience. Reliability: Own the platform's stability by establishing rigorous end-to-end testing frameworks and comprehensive production monitoring. Experience: Demonstrated leadership and deep experience (7+ years) in Full Stack or Frontend Engineering. Frameworks: Deep expertise with Next.js and React (v18+). Language: Strong proficiency in TypeScript. Web3 Integration: Proven experience with modern Web3 libraries such as Wagmi, Viem, and/or Ethers.js for blockchain interaction. State & Data Management: Proficiency with GraphQL (Apollo Client) and TanStack Query for efficient data fetching and state management. Styling: Proficiency in Tailwind CSS and experience designing scalable component libraries. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) or traditional trading platforms. Experience with high-frequency trading systems or real-time data processing. Experience integrating and customizing advanced charting libraries (e.g., TradingView). Understanding of perpetuals trading, Real World Asset (RWA) markets, and core DeFi primitives. Contributions to open-source projects or experience with GraphQL Code Generator. Compensation: Highly competitive compensation package, including both tokens and equity.
