The Director of Event Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of event planning and execution designed to build awareness and drive attendance at various home shows, festivals or other opportunities that may attract future customers. This leadership position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to think creatively and strategically. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in event management, a passion for delivering exceptional experiences, and the ability to lead and inspire a team. Responsibilities • Identify, develop, and own event-based marketing initiatives to generate sales leads for Window Nation • Attend trade shows, home shows, fairs, festivals, and community events and manage event marketing teams in generating new sales leads. • Responsible for recruiting, hiring and training and developing, and managing a team that delivers an incredible event experience that generates sales leads. • Identify, schedule, and plan an event calendar that touches all geographical locations and ensures that it is staffed for success. • Working closely with the marketing team to design and produce event displays, manage event marketing material and equipment delivery, and set up and tear down with local staff. • Responsible for budgeting events and maintaining approved budget. • Develop timelines, organizational plans, and internal communications for cohesiveness and transparency across the organization of our events across the nation. • Partnering with branch operations and sales to grow brand presence within the local markets • Track and report retail metrics to evaluate performance and ROI of events • Responsible for exceeding sales lead quotas based upon established KPIs • Travel: 30% including some weekends Qualifications Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in event planning • 3+ years of experience in a leadership position • Ability to work weekends and/or evenings to support events Desired Qualifications: • Strong recruiting and training skills • Self-starter with ability to manage and develop others • Ability to handle multiple priorities at one time • Strong planning and organizational skills, including attention to detail • Knowledge of current best practices and new strategies for event marketing • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for communicating internally and externally.
