Edit and prepare short caregiver strategy videos for online distribution to support families of children with disabilities.
Experience with video editing software, comfort with Google Suite, self-motivation, and passion for disability support.
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We’ve recorded a series of short videos (30 seconds–1 minute each) using an iPhone, demonstrating strategies for caregivers of individuals with disabilities. These include stretching, range of motion, and other helpful techniques for supporting children with cerebral palsy. We’re looking for a skilled volunteer video editor to help us: Edit these clips to make them clear, simple, and easy to follow. Prepare them for upload and share them through our YouTube channel, where caregivers can access them anytime. Caregivers often face challenges in accessing clear, reliable, and practical resources. These videos will provide free, easy-to-use guidance that can make daily care safer and more effective for children with disabilities. By volunteering, you’ll be directly helping families gain the confidence and tools they need to support their loved ones. Join us in creating resources that will make a real difference in the lives of caregivers and children with disabilities! Our preparation so far: We’ve already filmed the video content. We’ve organized and stored the files in Google Drive. Our team has identified the specific caregiver strategies we want to highlight. We have buy-in from our volunteers and people who will use them and are ready to put the videos into use as soon as they’re edited. What we’re looking for in a volunteer: Experience with video editing software (any platform). Comfortable working with Google Suite (Docs, Drive, etc.). Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Passionate about making a positive impact for people with disabilities. Missions for Love Beyond Borders Mission: Missions for Love Beyond Borders’ mission is to provide equitable access to strength-based coaching methods and digital solutions to caregivers of individuals with disabilities.
