Description Specialization: Emergency Medicine Job Summary: Advance your career as a clinical leader! Mission Health, partnered with TeamHealth, is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to become the inaugural emergency medicine (EM) residency program director within our state-of-the-art facility in Asheville, North Carolina. This leadership position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in EM, a passion for medical education, and the ability to create a positive and innovative learning environment. As the EM residency program director, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of EM physicians and ensuring the highest standards of education and patient care. About the Emergency Department: • 94-bed ED • Annual ED visits: 100,000+ • Daily APC coverage • EMR: Cerner FirstNet • Comprehensive Stroke Center • Dedicated Pediatric ED • 1.7 - 2.1 patients per hour • Academic Affiliation: Yes, EM residents The ED team is organized into pods based on acuity, allowing for a smooth workflow and efficient patient care. Our physicians work closely with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
