Lead and oversee the coding team, ensure coding accuracy and compliance, conduct audits, provide guidance, and collaborate with IT and billing teams.
High school diploma or higher, CPC or CCS certification, 3-5 years progressive medical coding experience, preferably in home health or hospice, and leadership experience.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental & Vision Vacation, Sick & Holiday Paid Time Off Mileage Reimbursement Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending & Health Savings Accounts Disability, Life and AD&D Insurance 401(K) Pay range (depending on experience): $70-75k per year Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm Key Responsibilities: • Lead and oversee the daily activities of the coding team, including work scheduling, workload distribution, and performance monitoring. • Review and validate medical codes assigned to diagnoses, procedures, and services to ensure accuracy and compliance with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and other coding systems. • Provide expert coding guidance and support to coding staff, clinicians, and other departments, serving as a resource for complex coding questions. • Conduct coding audits and quality reviews to identify discrepancies and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines. • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of coding policies, procedures, and training programs. • Generate and analyze coding productivity reports and communicate key metrics with leadership. • Collaborate with IT and billing teams to resolve system issues impacting coding workflows. • Participate in organizational initiatives related to coding compliance, education, and process improvement. Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred. • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification required. • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive medical coding experience, preferably in home health, hospice, or related healthcare settings. • Experience leading or supervising coding staff preferred. • Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines, and regulatory compliance standards. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software systems.
