About the Team As a member of the Financial Reporting & Controls team, you will be responsible for providing accurate financials, building our financial infrastructure, and ensuring smooth operations as we scale. Our team works closely with cross-functional partners including Sales, Business Technology, and Product to support Miro's rapid growth and evolving business model while maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance. About the Role Miro is experiencing rapid growth with increasingly complex revenue streams, and we need a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead our revenue accounting function through this exciting scale. Reporting directly to the Head of Revenue Accounting & Operations, you'll oversee month-end close activities for revenue and accounts receivable, manage audit processes, and lead a growing team of revenue accountants. You'll be one of the key leaders building scalable processes, implementing robust controls, and ensuring accurate revenue recognition across our diverse SaaS offerings. A critical part of this role involves establishing billing and revenue frameworks to support new product launches and evolving business models. Beyond technical expertise, we need someone with strong leadership skills who can influence cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and communicate complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders. You should thrive in ambiguous situations, have exceptional analytical skills to navigate large datasets, and maintain meticulous attention to detail while seeing the bigger strategic picture. The ideal candidate will be energized by the opportunity to build something from the ground up, lead a team through rapid change, and directly impact our financial operations as we continue scaling globally. **Please note, we are open to remote East Coast (Eastern Time Zone) U.S. based candidates for this role.** What you’ll do Lead month-end revenue close process and ensure accurate revenue recognition across subscription, usage-based, and hybrid pricing models in compliance with ASC 606 Manage and mentor a team of revenue accountants while collaborating with audit teams to ensure seamless financial reviews and compliance Design and implement scalable revenue accounting processes and controls to support new product launches and business model evolution Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal teams to evaluate complex customer contracts and establish proper revenue treatment for non-standard deals Drive automation initiatives and system enhancements within the quote-to-cash process to improve accuracy and efficiency as we scale globally Analyze revenue trends, identify discrepancies, and provide strategic insights to leadership on financial performance and business drivers Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies, documentation, and training programs to support team growth and knowledge transfer What you’ll need 5+ years of revenue accounting experience in SaaS or technology companies with subscription billing models (usage/consumption-based billing experience is a plus) Proven track record leading process improvements in quote-to-cash operations or establishing revenue recognition frameworks for new product offerings Experience mentoring junior staff or managing small teams with ability to develop talent in fast-paced, high-growth environments Advanced analytical skills with ability to work with large datasets and identify revenue discrepancies or trends Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex accounting concepts clearly Experience with Salesforce; familiarity with ERP and billing systems (NetSuite and Stripe experience are a plus) Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards (CPA preferred but not required) What's in it for you 401k matching + Competitive equity package Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision health benefits Fertility & Family Forming Benefits Flexible time off Lunch, snacks and drinks provided in the office Wellbeing benefit and WFH equipment allowance Annual learning and development allowance to grow your skills and career Up to $2,000 of charitable donation matches each year The reasonably estimated salary range is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations. The range for this role is $116,000 to $152,250. Final compensation and total package components will be based on individual factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
