Executive Director Location: Remote Reports to: Board President, Board of Directors Compensation: Commensurate with experience Schedule: Part-time, 10-15 hr/wk, flexible About Miracle 139 International Miracle 139 International is a Christian faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities around the world by providing high-quality, evidence-based training to schools and churches around the world. Our vision is to one day see a world where all children are included and have hope for their future. Position Overview We seek a dynamic, mission-driven Executive Director to lead Miracle 139 International into its next phase of strategic growth and global impact. The Executive Director serves as the primary ambassador of the organization, guiding operations, development, partnerships, and program strategy. This role requires a balance of vision, humility, boldness and hands-on leadership, with a passion for disability inclusion and global ministry. Key Responsibilities Mission Communication & Growth Strategy • Communicate the organization’s story effectively to followers, donors, potential partners, and broader audiences. • Develop and implement growth strategies to expand Miracle 139 International’s reach and impact globally. • Share progress towards goals, project highlights, and organizational needs clearly and regularly with the Board of Directors. • Inspire engagement through compelling storytelling and mission-driven leadership. Volunteer Recruitment & Mobilization • Recruit, encourage, and mobilize volunteers to support international training projects. • Collaborate closely with in-country contacts and stakeholders to ensure volunteer efforts are effective and mission-aligned. Training Project Oversight • Oversee the design, planning, communication, and execution of international training projects, working closely with staff, including Linda Martin (Founder), and external partners. • Manage ongoing data collection regarding project goals, training efficacy, and impact measurement to inform continuous improvement. Curriculum & Training Tools Management • Oversee the development, growth, revision, and translation of training curricula and tools, including online curriculum modules (for both Disability Ministry and Special Education), training videos and other curriculum supports. • Ensure that training materials are accessible, culturally relevant, and effectively support inclusion efforts worldwide. Fundraising & Development Oversight • Supervise the incoming part-time Fundraising & Development Coordinator in setting and executing fundraising goals and managing donor relationships. • Collaborate with development staff to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and strategic growth. Operational Leadership & Team Management • Oversee the Executive Assistant position, ensuring organizational tasks and administrative functions are executed efficiently. • Work alongside Linda and the Board of Directors to develop both short- and long-term goals that align with Miracle 139’s mission and vision. • Provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to staff and volunteers to build a strong, positive organizational culture. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) • Foster an organizational culture rooted in Biblical principles of love and inclusion. • Ensure DEI is integrated into all programming, hiring, partnerships, and communications. Financial Stewardship & Operational Oversight • Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and financial oversight to ensure sustainability and transparency. • Collaborate with finance and operations to maintain compliance and operational excellence. Stakeholder & Board Engagement • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the Board of Directors and key stakeholders. • Provide regular, transparent communication to keep the Board engaged and informed. Innovation & Adaptability • Lead the organization with vision and resilience, adapting to changing environments and encouraging creative solutions to further the mission. Special Education & Disability Ministry Awareness • Maintain a working knowledge of best practices in special education and disability ministry. • Engage respectfully and knowledgeably with families, churches, and communities impacted by disability, supporting the organization’s mission with empathy and insight.
