This is a full-time position within the Career Center of the Student Success Division. This is the key support position that plans, manages, and implements varied levels of complex projects and programs to ensure the department is meeting stakeholder expectations and maintaining the University’s Career Center operations. This position also provides divisional support at the request of the Vice President for Student Success with administrative and project management responsibilities for the Student Success Team, and the university Student Success Council. Salary Range: $22.23 - $31.68 / hour depending upon experience and qualifications. Minimum Qualifications: The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position: Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to internal and external customers in person, on the phone, through email and other written correspondence. English language skills sufficient to clearly and accurately communicate information and respond verbally and in writing with internal and external constituents. Skill in word processing/keyboarding sufficient to use software to create, format, edit, print, and save a variety of documents, including spreadsheets, tables, charts, and graphs in an efficient and timely manner. Skill in database management sufficient to input data quickly and accurately, compile reports, analyze discrepancies, store and retrieve data in a variety of reports. Skill in accounting sufficient to reconcile invoices, receipts and purchase orders, and monitor and balance budgets and grants to ensure spending is within budget and grant guidelines. Demonstrated ability working collaboratively in a culturally diverse environment and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and education levels. Preferred Qualification: 2 or more years successfully working in an administrative support role. Associate’s degree. Experience and or ability to hire, train, lead and evaluate the work of student employees. Experience working in a college career center and/or an academic advising center. Previous experience working with the Minnesota State ISRS software. Knowledge of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act). Work Shift (Hours / Days of work): Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm; some evenings and weekends; up to 1 day telework per week.
