Job Title: Manager, Engagement and Operations Company Overview: Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus is a leading advocacy organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of gun owners across Minnesota. With a strong commitment to community engagement and legislative advocacy, we serve as the trusted voice for responsible gun ownership in the state. Role Overview: As the Manager, Engagement and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving member and volunteer engagement statewide. You will oversee event planning and execution, ensuring impactful outreach and operational excellence to support our mission. What You'll Do: - You will lead and coordinate statewide member and volunteer engagement initiatives to strengthen community involvement. - You will plan, staff, and manage events that promote the organization’s mission and foster member participation. - You will develop and implement strategies to increase volunteer recruitment, retention, and activation. - You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and operational support. - You will monitor and report on engagement metrics to inform continuous improvement. - You will manage budgets and resources effectively to maximize event and program impact. - You will serve as a key liaison between members, volunteers, and leadership to facilitate feedback and collaboration. - You will ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations in all operational activities. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of experience in nonprofit engagement, operations, or event management. - You have strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders. - You are proficient with event management software and CRM systems. - You have a demonstrated ability to lead teams and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in advocacy or political organizations. - Knowledge of gun rights issues and the legislative landscape in Minnesota. - Skills in digital marketing and social media engagement. - Experience with budget management and fundraising activities.
