Job Title: Manager, Engagement and Operations Company Overview: Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus is a leading advocacy organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of gun owners across Minnesota. With a strong commitment to community engagement and legislative advocacy, we strive to be the trusted voice for responsible gun ownership in the state. Role Overview: As the Manager, Engagement and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving member and volunteer engagement statewide. You will oversee event planning and execution, ensuring that our community remains active, informed, and empowered to support our mission. What You'll Do: - You will lead statewide member and volunteer engagement initiatives to strengthen community involvement. - You will plan, staff, and manage events that promote the organization’s mission and foster member participation. - You will coordinate communication efforts to keep members informed and motivated. - You will develop strategies to recruit and retain volunteers and members. - You will collaborate with internal teams to align engagement activities with organizational goals. - You will monitor and report on engagement metrics to assess program effectiveness. - You will manage operational aspects of engagement programs, including budgeting and resource allocation. - You will represent the organization at public events and meetings to build relationships and partnerships. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, event management, or nonprofit operations. - Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse audiences. - Proficiency with event management software and CRM tools. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in advocacy or political campaign environments. - Knowledge of Second Amendment issues and gun owner communities. - Fundraising or grant writing experience. - Familiarity with Minnesota’s legislative process.
