As the Director of SAP AppHaus & Human-Centered Innovation at Mindset, you will lead our design thinking practice, innovation pipeline, and AppHaus-led engagement model. You will oversee the full lifecycle of user-centered innovation—from insight gathering and experience strategy to rapid prototyping and transition to BTP Build, AI, and engineering delivery teams. This role is ideal for a design-driven leader who thrives at the intersection of creativity, technology, and enterprise transformation. You will shape Mindset’s innovation offerings, grow our AppHaus brand presence, lead immersive workshops, and guide clients through human-centered problem solving that inspires modern SAP experiences and scalable BTP-based solutions. Key Responsibilities • AppHaus Leadership: Own the strategy, pipeline, and portfolio of Mindset AppHaus engagements, ensuring world-class experiences aligned to SAP’s AppHaus Network standards. • Human-Centered Innovation: Lead design thinking engagements, discovery sessions, problem-framing workshops, and user research activities to uncover meaningful insights and opportunities. • Experience Strategy: Drive concept-to-prototype journeys, producing experience blueprints, journey maps, wireframes, and experience roadmaps that connect directly into BTP Build, CAP, and AI delivery. • Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT executives on UX strategy, innovation, transformation, and user-centered approaches across SAP landscapes. • Practice Growth: Build and refine Mindset’s design-led innovation offerings, methodologies, accelerators, playbooks, and reusable artifacts. • Collaboration with Delivery: Act as the bridge between design and engineering, ensuring smooth handoff and alignment into BTP Build, Fiori/UI5, CAP, and AI-based application development. • Pre-Sales & GTM: Partner with Sales to shape opportunities, deliver workshops, scope engagements, and create compelling narratives tied to business value. • Thought Leadership: Represent Mindset at SAP events, AppHaus community gatherings, conferences, and client innovation forums through talks, blogs, and showcases. • Mentorship: Grow and develop a cross-functional team of designers, facilitators, researchers, and innovation consultants. • Travel: Ability to travel as needed up to 25%. Required Qualifications • Experience: 10+ years in UX, design thinking, product innovation, or human-centered design, with significant experience in SAP or enterprise transformation contexts. • Design Expertise: • Strong background in design thinking facilitation, user research, prototyping, and experience strategy • Proven ability to lead workshops for executives, business users, and technical teams • SAP & BTP Understanding: • Familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP Build, Fiori/UI5, CAP, and experience-led transformation • Experience connecting design outcomes into modern SAP extension architectures • Consulting Competencies: Exceptional executive presence, storytelling, and the ability to translate human-centered insights into actionable business and technology strategies. • Leadership: Track record of leading multidisciplinary teams, nurturing creative culture, and managing client engagements end-to-end. • Portfolio: Demonstrated examples of design-led innovation work, workshop facilitation, and product/experience concepts. Nice to Have Qualifications • Experience working within an SAP AppHaus or similar innovation studio. • Exposure to generative AI experiences, intelligent UX patterns, or AI-enhanced design toolchains. • Experience with SAP’s Human-Centered Approach to Innovation (HCAI). • SAP BTP certifications or hands-on familiarity with Build, UI5, or low-code development.
