Temporary to Hire position While on the Staffing Firm's payroll, pay is weekly every Friday Pay rate: $24 per hour / $49,920 annually 8:30am - 5pm Monday - Friday CFS Logistics Coordinator – Job Description Position Summary: The Container Freight Station (CFS) Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of inbound and outbound freight. This role ensures efficient cargo handling, accurate documentation, compliance with customs regulations, and coordination between carriers, vendors, and warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities: Documentation & Compliance • Prepare and review documents including House Bill of Lading (HBL) and Master Bill of Lading (MBL) arrival notices, dock receipts, and inventory reports. • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) - which secures America's borders and ports of entry and Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) - which regulates the U.S. international ocean and transportation systems. • Maintain accurate records in company's Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS) Communication & Coordination • Serve as the primary point of contact between trucking companies, ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse staff. • Coordinate delivery appointments, pick-ups, and drayage schedules. • Resolve discrepancies or damages in collaboration with warehouse supervisors. Inventory & Reporting • Track and update cargo status in internal systems. • Generate daily inventory reports, exception reports, and KPI summaries. • Conduct periodic cycle counts and assist in audits. Customer Service • Provide customers with timely updates on shipment status. • Address inquiries related to cargo availability, documentation, and billing. Qualifications: • Experience in logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding, or CFS operations. • Knowledge of ocean import/export processes and CBP regulations. • Experience with CargoWise is a plus. • Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse/logistics environment.
