Full Description

Milacron is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Batavia, OH. In this position, you will be responsible for the tactical procurement of all direct purchased materials and services as required to support daily production needs. You will work with suppliers to expedite material requirements to meet customer needs, partner with Strategic Supply to create sourcing strategies, and work with supply base on continuous improvement projects. Work You’ll Do • Demonstrates strong strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and the capacity to synthesize complex data for informed decision-making. • Tracks, maintains, and forecasts production levels, manages supplier relationships, and monitors delivery performance to ensure timely and quality outputs. • Updates purchase orders, reviews MRP messages, maintains SKU classifications, and manages shortages and inventory classifications. • Provides performance reports, evaluates vendor performance, and reviews financial and operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities. • Implements policies, reviews ECOs, coordinates shipments, and ensures safety guidelines are followed to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in relevant field • 5+ years of professional experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain • Experience working in a manufacturing environment • CPM and/or APICS certification a plus Who We Are Milacron is a global leader in the manufacture, distribution and service of highly engineered and customized systems within the $27 billion plastic technology and processing industry.
