Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Service Manager to lead the Service Division of our Commercial and Industrial Electrical Construction Company. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day service operations, supervising field technicians, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of service-related projects ranging from emergency calls to small-scale electrical installations and upgrades. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical construction, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage service teams in fast-paced commercial and industrial environments. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee and manage the service department, including scheduling, dispatching, and supervising service electricians and technicians · Serve as the primary point of contact for service clients—ensuring timely response, clear communication, and high-quality service delivery · Coordinate with construction project managers and estimators on crossover work or small construction-related service projects · Review, estimate, and quote service work including T&M jobs, maintenance calls, repairs, and minor installations · Track service jobs from start to finish to ensure efficiency, code compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction · Develop and enforce service procedures and standards in line with company policies and industry best practices · Monitor department performance, manage KPIs (response times, job margins, technician utilization, etc.), and report regularly to senior management · Maintain and manage tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials inventory used by service personnel · Support and mentor service electricians and apprentices, promoting a culture of safety, training, and continuous improvement · Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and all applicable safety and electrical regulations Qualifications: · Minimum 5–7 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical construction · At least 2 years in a supervisory or service management role preferred · Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred or required based on location) · Strong knowledge of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments · Experience in job quoting, scheduling, and resource planning · Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills · High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines · Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Preferred Attributes: · Estimating experience for small service jobs and maintenance contracts · Strong understanding of electrical code, safety protocols, and industry standards · Familiarity with project management and workflow tools · Bilingual in English and Spanish (a plus, but not required) Midwestern Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
