We are seeking an experienced Masking Production Technician Team Lead to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a stable work history, strong attention to detail, and prior masking or plugging experience. Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and possess basic computer skills. This position plays a key role in production setup, quality inspections, training, and workflow coordination. Also responsible for job setup, first article creation, part processing, and ensuring all work meets customer specifications. This role supports department leadership, assists in supervising employees, and trains team members to meet production goals. Key Responsibilities • Support the Department Manager in leading and developing the team. • Train employees on masking/DFL/Cerakote processes, ensuring quality and production rates are met. • Provide performance feedback, address issues, and conduct annual reviews. • Promote safety, quality, and company standards. • Perform safety checks and maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work area. • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures. • Serve as backup to the Department Manager and lead Masking or DLF/Cerakote as needed. • Set up jobs, monitor workflow, and ensure tools and materials are available. • Conduct hourly check-ins with employees to ensure productivity, accuracy, and rate expectations. • Operate forklifts, manage supplies, support scheduling, and ensure timely job completion. • Create and finalize first articles and process cards. • Perform visual inspections, verify job quality, and complete final sign-offs. • Address rate discrepancies, review corrective actions, and ensure all documentation is accurate.
