Very well established companythat has been in business for over 45 years is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Sales Engineer with a background in plastic injection molding or related technical sales. The position can be remote and located within 200 miles of the Memphis, TN area. This role blends engineering knowledge with strategic sales execution, providing clients with tailored manufacturing solutions while driving business growth. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in technical sales or new business development, particularly in the plastics industry, and demonstrates a strong ability to grow existing accounts and re-engage former clients. Sales Engineers are responsible for generating production opportunities and securing orders in collaboration with company engineers and other technical resources. Our Project Engineers support customers from concept to end-of-life product stages. Using proprietary supply chain management tools, our in-house logistics team handles everything from production forecasting to warehousing and delivery. Key Responsibilities • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in plastic injection molding and secure orders. • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through technical consultation and customized solutions. • Collaborate with internal teams to produce accurate quotes, proposals, and technical documentation. • Deliver persuasive technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients. • Advise customers, in partnership with Project Engineers, on material selection, tooling, and design for manufacturability. • Support the VP of Sales and Business Development in collecting and reporting key sales metrics, KPIs, and market trends to executive leadership. • Assist in representing company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to broaden exposure and market presence. • Communicate customer feedback to internal departments to help improve products and processes. Essential Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience. • Minimum 2 years of technical sales or customer support experience in the plastic injection molding industry or related field. • Demonstrated expertise in injection molding processes, materials, tooling, and product development. • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a proven sales record. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and specifications. • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; CAD familiarity is a plus. • Willingness to travel up to 50%, domestically and internationally. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with clients in automotive, medical device, consumer goods, or electronics. • Familiarity with relevant industry standards • Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and concurrent engineering practices.
