Job Summary: The Electrical Lineman Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission projects. This role combines hands-on lineman expertise with project management responsibilities to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable execution of utility or industrial electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have field experience as a journeyman or master lineman, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects, crews, and client expectations simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage electrical line construction, maintenance, and repair projects from inception to close-out. * Coordinate with utility companies, municipalities, and internal departments to meet project requirements and timelines. * Develop project schedules, workforce plans, budgets, and safety strategies. * Supervise and support foremen, linemen, apprentices, and subcontractors to ensure safe and compliant work practices. * Conduct field assessments, pre-job planning, and site walk-throughs to validate scopes of work and resource needs. * Responsible for estimating and providing quotes for heavy industrial electrical projects * Supports the Market Development team with customer meetings by acting as a product/service manager. * Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, NEC, NESC, and company-specific safety policies. * Monitor job progress, production tracking, and cost performance; proactively address any deviations. * Prepare and maintain documentation including job status reports, work orders, change orders, and close-out packages. * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and field personnel on assigned projects. * Support material procurement, permitting, utility coordination, and inspections as needed. * Participate in post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement. Education: * High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience: * Journeyman Lineman Certification or equivalent field experience required. * Minimum 5 years of experience in high-voltage electrical line work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or project management role. * Deep understanding of electrical distribution and transmission systems, safety protocols, and applicable codes. * Experience in the heavy industrial services industry preferred. * Strong knowledge of project management practices, scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera), and job costing. * Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred. * OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred. Knowledge Skills & Abilities: * Proven leadership and team coordination skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or project management systems is a plus. * Skilled in conflict resolution, decision-making, and critical thinking under pressure * Ability to climb poles, operate bucket trucks, and perform physical lineman duties as needed. Work Location and Travel: * The main office is in Lakeland, Fl 33801 * Travel to customer location is required. * Some overnight travel may be required. Work Environment: * Combination of office and flied work environment with primary being performed in the field at heavy industrial customer locations Physical Requirements: Talk/Hear: Required to communicate with employees at all levels in the organization and coordinate safe operations. Stand/Sit: Frequent standing required for overseeing and participating in job site activities. Walk: Regular movement around job sites, including uneven terrain and open areas. Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Significant use of computer keyboards. Will often handle tools, safety gear, and materials. Climb: will often, climb stairs and ladders, poles, or equipment to supervise work at height. Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: Required for equipment inspection, repair, and setup in tight spaces. See: Must be able to assess hazards, supervise tasks, and monitor job site safety. Carry, weight, Lift: Regular lifting of tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs.); must assist team with heavier gear. Exposure to work: Field exposure to electrical infrastructure, weather elements, and job site risks; PPE required while working on customer sites and in Mid-State shop areas.
