Lead product strategy and delivery for AI agent platforms by driving customer engagements and validating architecture in collaboration with internal teams.
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in product/program management or software development and 5+ years in customer-facing B2B software roles, preferably with 12+ years experience and product launch expertise.
Overview The Copilot Extensibility and Developer Platform (CxDev) team is responsible for the product, platform, and operational foundations that allow customers and partners to extend Microsoft 365 Copilot with agents, connectors, and APIs. The team defines and ships the core extensibility surface area (including agent creation, publishing, admin controls, and discovery), partners with engineering on quality, security, and reliability, and works closely with GTM, support, and field teams to drive adoption and resolve customer issues. CxDev also runs the data, metrics, and governance loops for extensibility—tracking agent usage and health, administering incident and escalation processes, and translating customer and partner feedback into roadmap priorities—so that Copilot extensions can be built, deployed, governed, and scaled in enterprise environments. Our team’s mission is to help every person and organization transcend the limits of time, attention, and coordination. We are proudly building Copilot as the most loved and trusted productivity assistant and enabling Copilot to transform business processes through intelligent agents. We are hiring a customer‑facing Principal Product Manager on the CxDev team. The role works directly with strategic customers to incubate early Copilot extensibility scenarios and help move them from concept to production‑ready solutions. In this role, the PM partners with customer technical and business stakeholders to frame agent and connector scenarios, validate feasibility against the Copilot extensibility platform, and guide customers through design tradeoffs, data readiness, security, and governance considerations. They work hands‑on during incubation, alongside engineering, partners, and delivery teams, to unblock technical issues, shape product requirements, and ensure solutions align with how Copilot agents are built, deployed, administered, and supported at scale. Beyond individual customers, the Principal PM translates incubation learnings into reusable patterns, product feedback, and roadmap input, helping the platform evolve based on real enterprise usage rather than theoretical scenarios. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. Responsibilities Drive customer engagements and pilots to co‑develop and deploy AI agents in controlled, real‑world environments, translating customer workflows into validated agentic patterns and platform requirements. Set product and scenario strategies for AI agents in specific industry segments or capability areas. Establish and scale internal programs to build, deploy, and operate AI across Microsoft, using real production workflows to validate architecture, reliability, and productivity impact. Design and lead evaluation scenarios on an eval platform to rigorously measure response quality, task completion effectiveness, and sustained productivity gains enabled by AI, informing model, platform, and product decisions. Partner with and hand‑hold internal M365 product teams to design, build, and deploy AI agents that materially improve team productivity and operational efficiency. Enable Microsoft’s internal transformation by leveraging large‑scale agents that own end‑to‑end jobs and responsibilities—not just conversational interactions—demonstrating how AI can operate as a true digital workforce.
