To help us achieve our objectives, growth, and transformation, we are seeking a Principal Business Manager - Data Center Operations who will report to the Vice President of Datacenter Operations Americas. This role will drive the organization’s rhythm of business, identify and execute organizational initiatives, and implement business processes to meet strategic objectives and priorities. Candidates will excel in strategic planning, data and analytics, and business program management to be successful in this role. Responsibilities Rhythm of Business • Drive the development and execution of the rhythm of business and maximize use of the VP and LT’s time. • Develop and maintain a comprehensive program roadmap aligned with Data Center Operations and CO+I objectives. Plan and run the monthly program reviews. • Sets business priorities for the year and focus areas for each period, in collaboration with the leader • Drive business functions to ensure the team's operating rhythm is effective. • Drive prioritization and prepare the team for weekly leadership staff; drive content alignment across teams for executive review. • Prioritize and manage end-to-end business needs to an effectively for optimal outcomes. • Leverage deep knowledge of organizational strategy and planned deliverables for the upcoming year to design and track people-related budgets (training, morale, T&E, etc.). • Provide direction and support for org hygiene, culture and inclusion initiatives in partnership with HR. • Partner and collaborate with the extended business management community within CO+I. Strategy Planning & Activation • Leads strategy execution & OKR management in partnership with the leadership team across the org. • Facilitate execution of leadership team strategic planning, white papers, key results reviews, training, and organizational hygiene. • Participate in overall group strategy decisions and assist in implementing policies and procedures to maximize team effectiveness. • Leads multiple workstreams in conjunction with stakeholders and the leadership team (including continuous improvement processes). Executive Communication Strategy • Leads executive-level communications for a variety of internal and external audiences, from org-wide communications to customer speaking engagements. • Develop and execute an org-wide engagement plan, including town halls and Employee Signals action plans • Serve as an extension of the VP; prep the VP for stakeholder and/or customer meetings and lead work on exec presentations / white papers. Strategic Programs and Initiatives • Create and manage the end-to-end process for the planning and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, automation and programs. • Drive cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business; create clarity on ambiguous projects and develop plans for execution. • Establish and enforce program standards and best practices. • Prepare and present regular status reports to executive leadership. • Embodiment our culture and values. Qualifications Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years’ experience in business management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles • OR equivalent experience. • 8+ years of experience in leadership positions, demonstrating the ability to work closely with senior leadership and promote collaboration among cross-functional teams. • 8+ years business or program management experience working in a production, mission-critical 24/7 environment such as Data Center or other Critical Environments. Background Check Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 12+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles • OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 15+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles • OR equivalent experience. • Business acumen and understanding of the data center industry. • Executive presence and proven ability to influence technical peers and senior leaders. • Industry Project management, data analytics and organization skills. • Effectiveness driving complex multi-stakeholder planning processes, driving cross-team programs to desired results. • Experience collaborating across diverse groups to drive clarity and effectiveness in rhythm of business and delivering projects on time. • Proactiveness and a positive outlook and approach to change management. • Business acumen and agility to ramp quickly across our diverse business and offerings. • Effectiveness driving complex multi-stakeholder planning processes, driving cross-team programs to desired results. • Ability to synthesize complex ideas into easy-to-understand concepts for communications. Demonstrated capability in verbal and written communications skills across a geographically dispersed audience. • People management experience a plus, as the role is likely to grow as the organization grows. Business Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
