Maintenance Technician / Engineering Assistant Pay: $25+ per hour (commensurate with experience) Location: Paterson, NJ Job Type: Full-time About Us We are a small, family-owned manufacturing company looking to add a dependable, hands-on team member. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new skills, and being involved in a variety of mechanical and electrical projects. You’ll work closely with ownership and play an important role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Job Description We are seeking an energetic and conscientious Maintenance Technician / Engineering Assistant who has an interest in mechanical and electrical systems. This is a hands-on position with on-the-job training provided. The right candidate is eager to learn, reliable, and takes pride in their work. Responsibilities • Assist with maintenance and repair projects • Mechanical and basic electrical work (training provided) • Piping, equipment, and shop-related projects • Organize parts, tools, and maintenance supplies • Maintain shop cleanliness and organization • Assist the owner/manager directly on projects • Follow safety procedures and company guidelines Qualifications • Interest in mechanical and electrical work • Comfortable using tools and taking measurements • Willingness to learn and take direction • Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required Preferred (but not required): • Previous mechanical or electrical experience • High/low (forklift) experience • Familiarity with safety equipment and shop environments What We Offer • Competitive pay starting at $25+/hour (based on experience) • Hands-on training and skill development • Stable, long-term position If you enjoy hands-on work and want to build valuable skills in a manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you.
