Micro Tech is seeking an Outside Sales Representative with customer service experience to join our team. This role involves meeting with clients in person to sell products or services and provides the opportunity to work with a talented team while managing your own schedule within a designated territory. Position Overview: As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing customers with product and service information, resolving technical issues, and ensuring a seamless sales process. Your role will require a combination of sales expertise, technical aptitude, and excellent customer service skills. You'll be working independently to meet sales goals, build customer relationships, and provide front and back-office support to ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment. Key Responsibilities: • Sales & Customer Service: • Meet with clients in person to sell products and services. • Prospect new leads and generate repeat sales opportunities. • Conduct product demonstrations and create customized sales presentations. • Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet and exceed sales goals. • Provide product and service information to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues. • Order Management & Follow-up: • Enter and track customer orders and estimates in the system. • Follow up on estimates, ensuring conversion to sales orders. • Ensure all customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately. • Troubleshoot product issues and concerns, providing technical assistance as needed. • Customer Relationship Management: • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to build long-term business. • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and specifications to improve sales and satisfaction. • Recommend alternative products when needed, based on cost, availability, and customer needs. • Administrative & Documentation Support: • Document and update customer interactions and responses. • Provide both front and back-office support to facilitate order processing and fulfillment. • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of the company’s products, services, and solutions. Capabilities & Skills Required: • Sales & Technical Knowledge: • Ability to understand and apply technical and mechanical knowledge to sales processes. • Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with customers. • Knowledge of sales processes in any industry, with an aptitude for learning quickly. • Ability to suggest cost-effective products based on customer needs and specifications. • Customer-Focused: • Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain strong customer relationships. • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. • Proactively recommend products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and transaction profitability. • Tools & Systems: • 1-3 years’ experience with QuickBooks Desktop for order processing and pricing. • Proficient with internet tools and website navigation. • Familiarity with technical brochures, vendor training, and sales literature. Qualifications: • 1-3 years of experience using QuickBooks Desktop. • 3-5 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field. • Proven ability to build rapport with clients and maintain positive relationships. • Strong multitasking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. • Positive and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills. • Strong mathematical aptitude for pricing and quotes. • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle a variety of responsibilities simultaneously. • Willingness to make outbound sales calls and follow up on estimates to close sales.
