The Role The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for supporting supplier growth and sales performance for a rapidly expanding company in the automotive aftermarket industry. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, this individual will manage supplier relationships, onboard new vendors, and use data analysis to identify opportunities that drive business performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This role combines elements of sales, operations, and data analytics—ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and using data to make impactful decisions. This is a remote position with travel up to 25% of the time. You must be located close to a major airport. Key Responsibilities • Support supplier network by maintaining accurate inventory files and addressing warehouse performance issues. • Serve as primary point of contact for vendor portal management and troubleshooting. • Identify, solicit, and onboard new suppliers into the company’s supplier network. • Collaborate with data, IT, and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and integration. • Partner with marketing and finance teams to manage supplier programs and ensure rebate and support funds are properly tracked. • Conduct detailed sales and performance analyses to identify growth opportunities by supplier, brand, or SKU. • Develop executive-level presentations and supplier reviews that highlight insights and actionable recommendations. • Collaborate closely with leadership on supplier strategy, performance reviews, and data-driven decision-making. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required; quantitative or business-related field preferred. • 2+ years of experience in sales management, account management, or data analytics. • Background in the tire industry or other hard goods strongly preferred. • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data tools such as Power BI. • Analytical thinker able to translate data into actionable business insights. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proven relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration abilities. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment; startup or high-growth experience preferred.
