Learn more at . Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered High School Mathematics Teacher to teach Algebra I and Algebra II . MMSA uses the Reveal Math curriculum , along with ALEKS and IXL as school-wide supplemental tools to support mastery and growth. The ideal candidate brings strong content knowledge, effective classroom management, and a commitment to helping every student succeed. This teacher will design and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the Michigan Mathematics Standards, maintain high expectations, and create a classroom culture where students feel safe, supported, and challenged. Teachers receive ongoing support through our instructional coaching model . Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Algebra I and Algebra II Develop and implement high-quality lesson plans that include differentiation and scaffolds for diverse learners Use assessment data to monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed Build and maintain positive, consistent relationships with students and families Communicate with parents regularly through phone calls and emails Support IEPs, 504 plans, and intervention strategies in collaboration with the student support team Utilize Reveal Math, ALEKS, and IXL as part of our aligned school-wide instructional systems Engage in regular instructional coaching to refine practice and support student outcomes Maintain accurate records for grading, attendance, and assessments per district and state guidelines Support student safety and supervision in and out of the classroom, including transitions and school-day activities Participate in professional learning, coaching cycles, and grade-level/content-team collaboration Administer district and state assessments with fidelity Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of high school mathematics curriculum, including Algebra I and II Knowledge of effective instructional practices, pedagogy, and differentiation Ability to analyze data and implement action plans for student growth Familiarity with educational technology and ability to integrate tech tools into instruction Strong classroom management rooted in fairness, consistency, and care Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues Ability to build a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports a wide range of learners Strong organizational skills, professional responsibility, and a growth-oriented mindset Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education, Mathematics, Secondary Education (Math concentration), or a related field Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with EX (Mathematics) endorsement required.
