Spine & Brain Surgery Specialists is a rapidly growing, patient-centered surgical practice committed to providing exceptional care. Our team values collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Physician Assistant to join our team and support our surgeons in both clinical and operative settings. Key Responsibilities • Assist surgeons in the operating room, including first-assist duties. • Conduct preoperative and postoperative patient evaluations. • Perform history and physical examinations, develop treatment plans, and manage follow-up care. • Order and interpret diagnostic tests. • Assist with procedures in clinic as needed. • Provide patient education and support throughout the surgical process. • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff to deliver high-quality care. • Participate in call rotation as assigned. Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. • Current PA-C certification. • State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant. • Prior surgical or inpatient experience preferred; new graduates with strong surgical interest will also be considered. • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Schedule & Work Environment Schedule will include operating room, inpatient rounding, and clinic responsibilities. Call coverage as outlined by the practice.
