Role Overview: As a Senior Medical Claims Representative, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving complex medical claims related to Michigan No-Fault and Workers’ Compensation cases. Your expertise will ensure accurate evaluation, investigation, and negotiation of claims to support our members and uphold the company’s standards. What You'll Do: - You will investigate and evaluate medical claims to determine coverage and liability. - You will negotiate settlements with claimants, medical providers, and legal representatives. - You will review medical records and bills to ensure accuracy and compliance with policy terms. - You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate claim resolution. - You will maintain detailed documentation and case files for all claims handled. - You will stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices. - You will provide guidance and mentorship to junior claims representatives. - You will contribute to process improvements to enhance claims handling efficiency. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years experience in medical claims handling, preferably with No-Fault and Workers’ Compensation claims. - Strong knowledge of Michigan No-Fault insurance laws and Workers’ Compensation regulations. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. - Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certification in claims management or related professional credentials. - Experience working in the agricultural insurance sector. - Familiarity with legal aspects of insurance claims. - Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish.
