Michael Sullivan & Associates LLP is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant with workers' compensation experience to join our team in Sacramento (Remote). The Legal Assistant maintains a close professional relationship with attorneys and manages their day-to-day activities. Candidates must reside in California!   JOB SUMMARY  The Legal Assistant:  * provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor; * prepares correspondence and simple to moderately complex legal documents; * schedules medical appointments; * proofreads documents for spelling and grammar; * organizes and maintains files; * screens telephone calls and visitors; * reads and responds to mail.  SKILLS & EXPERIENCE  Requirements:  * high school diploma or equivalent; * ABA-approved paralegal certificate OR Bachelor's Degree; * at least two years’ of workers' compensation experience; * strong written and oral communication; * highly organized; * MS Word proficiency; * type 50 wpm; * demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality.
