Michael and Associates is a forward-thinking criminal defense firm seeking a motivated Sales/Intake Attorney to lead our client acquisition initiatives. About This Role As a Sales/Intake Attorney, you serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, embodying our firm’s mission and values from the very first interaction. Your primary role is to engage with individuals seeking legal assistance—many of whom are facing emotionally charged and complex challenges. By listening with empathy, thoughtfully assessing their situations, and clearly explaining how our firm can support them, you help establish a strong foundation of trust. The professionalism and care you bring to these early conversations have a lasting impact on the client experience and set the tone for their journey with us. Job Responsibilities Client Acquisition Conduct approximately 20 daily consultations with pre-qualified prospective clients. Your primary objective will be to assess their legal needs, clearly articulate our firm’s value proposition, and efficiently onboard them into our system. Legal Expertise & Education Gain a strong understanding of criminal law and Michael & Associates’ unique legal strategies. This foundation will enable you to confidently address client inquiries and guide them toward appropriate next steps. Client Assurance & Support Understand the emotional challenges clients face when dealing with criminal charges. Approach each interaction with empathy, professionalism, and clarity—offering reassurance, building trust, and helping clients feel supported from the very first conversation. Brand Advocacy Serve as the initial representative of Michael & Associates, embodying our core values and our commitment to Zealous Advocacy. Your professionalism and communication will shape the client’s first impression and set the tone for their experience with the firm. Prior experience in client consultations or sales is essential. • Proven Sales Ability Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. You’ll need to be both empathetic and persuasive—capable of clearly presenting our services and addressing any questions or concerns potential clients may have. • Legal Credentials To qualify, candidates must meet one of the following criteria: • Hold an active Texas bar license • Hold an active out-of-state bar license with 5+ years of experience • Hold a bar license from a state with reciprocity with Texas • Comfortable Phone Communicator This role requires frequent, high-volume phone interaction. If speaking with clients over the phone is not your strength or interest, this position may not be the right fit. Competitive Salary Range: $130000– $200000 per year (depending on experience and performance)
