Senior Medical Biller – Dermatology Full-Time or Part-Time | Northville, MI MI Skin Center is a growing, full-service medical dermatology practice in Northville, MI. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Biller to join our team and take a lead role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our billing operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, motivated professional who is passionate about accuracy, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to be part of a collaborative and patient-centered team. We are looking for someone who can grow with us and ideally stay for at least one year or longer. Key Responsibilities: • Submit and follow up on claims for clinical services, procedures, and medications to insurance companies. • Correct and resubmit claims as necessary to ensure proper payment. • Manage billing for a variety of services including systemic biologic medications and prior authorizations. • Post patient payments and refunds accurately. • Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness; obtain missing information as needed. • Handle billing inquiries promptly and professionally. • Respond to payer denials and submit timely appeals. • Identify denial trends and collaborate with management to improve processes. • Maintain compliance with office policies and insurance guidelines. • Protect patient confidentiality at all times. • Support the clinic team with credentialing and related administrative processes. Consistently look for opportunities to streamline billing practices and increase efficiency. • What We’re Looking For: • 1+ years of recent medical billing experience (dermatology billing experience strongly preferred). • Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT codes, and insurance processes. • Knowledge of systemic biologic medication billing and prior authorization workflows (preferred). • CPC certification is a plus, but not required. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; credentialing knowledge is a plus. • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork and patient care.
