Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods, equipment, and supplies to various locations. Duties • Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, route driving, and pick-up services, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations • Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques or pallet jacks as necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit • Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock, and organizing shipments to facilitate efficient loading and unloading processes • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups, addressing any questions or concerns • Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports to ensure compliance and operational efficiency • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify maintenance needs or safety issues • Collaborate with warehouse staff and dispatchers to optimize delivery routes and schedules for maximum efficiency Qualifications • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on route driving and heavy lifting tasks • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required depending on the vehicle size • Familiarity with box trucks, manual transmission operation, forklift operation, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment is highly desirable • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse situations • Physical ability to lift heavy items repeatedly throughout the shift and perform moving tasks safely • Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory handling and loading procedures • Knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, and best practices for commercial driving Join us in delivering excellence!
