Project Manager – Commercial HVAC & Mechanical Overview We are a well-established commercial HVAC and mechanical contractor serving the Philadelphia metro area. Our work includes HVAC installations, piping, retrofits, and design-build mechanical projects for healthcare, education, office, and industrial facilities. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee active mechanical construction projects from award through closeout. Role Summary The Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of multiple commercial HVAC and mechanical projects. This is a hands-on role based in the Philadelphia market, working from a local office with regular jobsite visits. The position requires strong coordination across field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to spec. Key Responsibilities • Manage the full project lifecycle from kickoff through closeout • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets • Handle submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation • Coordinate field labor, subcontractors, and material deliveries • Lead jobsite meetings with general contractors, owners, and engineers • Track costs, labor productivity, and project profitability • Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met • Provide clear communication to internal teams and external stakeholders Qualifications • Prior experience as a Project Manager on commercial HVAC or mechanical projects • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, and mechanical construction practices • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously • Comfortable working in-office with frequent jobsite visits • Familiarity with plan-and-spec and design-build project environments • Experience in the Philadelphia market strongly preferred Work Environment & Perks • Office-based role with local jobsite travel • Vehicle support provided for site visits (car allowance and gas card) • Full health benefits provided by the employer • Stable workload with long-term, repeat commercial clients
