About the Client: Metric is partnered with a global leader in industrial automation and product identification solutions used in packaging operations across food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods industries. Their technology portfolio includes high-speed, precision systems that integrate seamlessly with existing production lines to ensure traceability, compliance, and operational efficiency. About the Role: The Mechanical Engineer role is ideal for technically skilled professionals with a background in mechanical design and a desire to engage directly with customers and cross-functional teams. This fully remote position supports field integration of industrial equipment into packaging lines and direct collaboration with sales and engineering teams. Travel to customer sites will be required as needed. Key Responsibilities: • Provide mechanical expertise to support the integration of industrial equipment into packaging systems. • Conduct site audits to assess feasibility and gather technical requirements. • Design and document custom hardware solutions using CAD tools. • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing partners to ensure accurate and timely production. • Support equipment installations, field validation, and post-installation technical support. • Maintain project documentation, update records in CRM platforms, and provide internal reporting. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant mechanical design and application experience is preffered. • Proficiency in CAD drawing and mechanical design principles. • Prior experience working with packaging, printing, automation, or capital equipment is strongly preferred. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. • Willingness to travel for site visits, installations, and customer support activities.
