Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Administrator to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless system operations, and supporting our organization's digital transformation initiatives. Your expertise will drive the stability, security, and scalability of our systems, enabling us to deliver exceptional services and solutions. Responsibilities • Oversee system administration tasks across various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX, ensuring optimal performance and security. • Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and ESXi, implementing best practices for resource allocation and system reliability. • Design, implement, and maintain system architecture solutions utilizing cloud services like AWS and Azure, incorporating microservices, containerization with Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. • Configure and monitor network components including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, and computer networking protocols to ensure robust connectivity and security. • Develop scripts using Bash, Python, Shell Scripting, and PowerShell to automate routine tasks and streamline operations within a DevOps framework. • Maintain databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring data integrity through effective backup strategies and performance tuning. • Implement information security measures by managing firewalls, access controls, encryption protocols, and conducting vulnerability assessments to safeguard organizational data. • Collaborate with solution architects to design scalable IT solutions that align with service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles and support enterprise goals. • Support application development teams by creating RESTful APIs, integrating third-party APIs via REST/RESTful services, and managing API security standards. • Monitor system health using tools like Jenkins for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), ensuring smooth software releases following SDLC best practices. Qualifications • Proven experience in system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), and UNIX environments. • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and Hyper-V; experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is highly desirable. • Hands-on experience managing cloud platforms including AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure; familiarity with cloud architecture design is essential. • Expertise in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell for automation purposes; experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI is preferred. • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancing techniques, firewalls, and network security best practices. • Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database; ability to perform database tuning and backup strategies. • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies including microservices architecture, system design principles, RESTful API development & integration. • Experience working within Agile environments; ability to adapt quickly to evolving project requirements while maintaining high-quality standards. • Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities; a proactive approach to system troubleshooting and incident resolution is essential.
